Library Web Changes Tonight, 5/1, 6:30 pm
This evening at 6:30 pm, a small change will be made to the Auraria Library web site as part of an ongoing server upgrade. It is anticipated that this will cause very little interruption to use of the web page; if you do receive any kind of error from the web server, please refresh your browser. The error should clear momentarily.
While most of the Library's web site will appear exactly as it was, one significant change will occur: the Archives and Special Collections web site URL will change from http://library.auraria.edu/archives/ to http://archives.auraria.edu. However, the structure of the Archives web site will not be changed; for example, the link to http://library.auraria.edu/archives/coors/coors.html will simply become http://archives.auraria.edu/coors/coors.html.
As always, please report any problems with the library's web site to library.webmaster@cudenver.edu.

Thanks for Supporting the Friends Book Sale
The Semi-Annual Friends of Auraria Library Book Sale was a huge success. The book sale raised close to $5,000, with $1600 of that coming from Better Books. The money raised is used to purchase new library material. The Friends Executive Board and the Library's bibliographers decide what items are most beneficial for our students at the three schools and then they are purchased with the book sale money.
Thanks again and see you at the next sale in October. For more information on the Friends of Auraria Library please contact Mary K. Dodge at 303.556.3526.

Do You Have Overdue Library Materials?
Over the past several months, the Auraria Library has been working with CU system accounting personnel on the Library’s accounts receivable, which includes the collection of fines related to overdue and lost materials. A new policy has been written and will go into effect July 1, 2008. Until then, however, it is necessary for us to clear up all outstanding debt that is owed to us. Therefore, the following procedure has been established:
• All accounts must be cleared up by April 30, 2008.
• Individuals with outstanding accounts as of April 30, 2008, will be blocked from checking out materials and will not have access to our electronic databases and electronic journals.
• Outstanding accounts will be transferred to Library Collections May 1, 2008.
• Letters will be sent to all outstanding accounts, giving individuals until May 19, 2008, to pay fines and/or bring back overdue materials.
• On May 19, 2008, all remaining outstanding accounts will be sent to the State of Colorado Central Collections for processing.
Thank you for your understanding and working with us so we can become compliant with State of Colorado regulations. If you have questions, please call Keith Kinsella at 303.556.6399.
To check the status of your library account, log in to Skyline OR call the Circulation Desk at 303-556-2639.

Auraria Library Web Server Upgrade/URL Changes
While it looks the same on the surface, the Auraria Library website is currently undergoing significant change. The site was migrated to a new server on Friday August 4th. This new environment will provide a more stable operating environment for everyone who uses the Library's web site.
As a result of this move, changes to the website URLs have been made. Previously, the following three URLs would bring you to the Library's home page:
1. http://library.auraria.edu
2. http://library.cudenver.edu
3. http://carbon.cudenver.edu/public/library/
All patrons should begin using URL #1 as the primary URL immediately. URL #2 will continue to work; however URL #3 will be retired permanently on August 15th, 2008. Please update your bookmarks and/or links to library web pages accordingly.
Please direct any questions, comments, or problems, including broken links, to Nina McHale at 303-556-4729 or nina.mchale@cudenver.edu
